Welcome to the Indo-German Business Development Association (IGBDA), the premier platform fostering collaboration and growth between Indian and German business communities. Established as an extension of the esteemed Partnering in Business with Germany (PG), Formerly Indo-German Managers Training Program (IGMTP) alumni network, our association traces its roots back to 2009. Initiated through a landmark joint declaration in 2008 between the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, and the Federal Republic of Economic and Technology, Government of Germany, the IGMTP has been a cornerstone of bilateral cooperation.
Implemented by INWENT (now GIZ) in Germany, in collaboration with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in India, the IGMTP aimed not only to cultivate managerial talent but also to establish a robust alumni support system. Thus, the Indo-German Business Development Association (IGBDA) emerged, dedicated to empowering and connecting alumni beyond the confines of the program.
Driven by a vision of inclusive growth and expanded networks, IGBDA has broadened its horizon to welcome like-minded organizations, industries, and individuals keen on leveraging Indo-German synergies. Moreover, as part of a larger initiative by the German Government, similar programs have been extended to over 21 developing countries, creating a global network of collaboration.
Through strategic partnerships and MOUs with participant countries, IGBDA has transcended geographical boundaries, enriching our members’ experience and opportunities. Join us as we continue to forge meaningful partnerships, drive innovation, and unlock the immense potential of Indo-German and other partners countries like Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Cambodia, China, Indonesia, Iraq, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Lebanon, Malaysia, Maldives, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Oceania, Pakistan, Palestinian territories, Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, Syria, Tajikistan, Thailand, Türkiye, United Arab Emirates, Uzbekistan, Vietnam, Yemen business relations.
